‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ Producers Sued by Satanic Temple Over Statue Prop

BBC reports that the Satanic Temple is suing the makers of the new Sabrina TV series for including a prop that resembles the group’s own statue of the goat deity Baphomet.   Netflix and Warner Bros allegedly copied the statue’s design and included it in a number of episodes. Lucien Greaves, co-founder of the Satanic Temple, commented that the statue in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina “dilutes and denigrates” their group.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Greaves also confirmed taking legal action against Netflix and Warner Bros on Twitter and even posted a photo comparison of the statues.

 

The organization filed the lawsuit on Thursday, demanding $50 million from the production companies.
