Monday, Disney Plus tweeted a poster for their spin-off series The Falcon and the Winter Solider, featuring Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson dressed in the latest Captain America garb and wielding Steve Rodger’s shield:
Revealed on their Twitter account, this comes just days after the finale of the show, which ends with Sam Wilson officially taking the mantle of Captain America. Reminiscent of Sam Wilson’s Captain America uniform from 2014’s All-New Captain America written by Rick Remender and illustrated by Stuart Immonen, many fans have embraced the new Sentinel of Liberty:
