On January twentieth, Lady Gaga performed the National Anthem behind the podium at the Presidential Inauguration, and fans noticed that she not only presented incredible vocals and support for President Biden, but also a very Hunger Games reminiscent outfit. Could this similarity in wardrobe between Gaga and Hunger Games‘ Katniss Everdeen have been intentional on the famous pop artist’s part?

As Lady Gaga is known for always making a statement wherever she appears, one has to wonder if this coincidence was another statement; one in which she means to make glaringly obvious for the state of what is daily being referred to as “our divided nation” after the previous presidency. Regardless of the comparisons that can be drawn between the dystopian YA series and Lady Gaga’s Inauguration ensemble, we know one of her intended meanings for certain: peace.
