Bioware’s Dragon Age II and Dragon Age: Inquisition both feature the companion Varric Tethras – surface dwarf, bestselling author, and reluctant adventurer. Within the Dragon Age universe, Varric’s breakout book was a crime novel titled Hard in Hightown. In Inquisition, the player could collect various fragments of the book scattered across the world, but now for the first time, the full novel is available to read. Most people can remember reading one or two jarring short stories in school, and Shirley Jackson’s The Lottery is usually among them. Paramount has announced that it will adapt the story as a feature film. Jake Wade Wall is writing the screenplay, and Jackson’s son will be an executive producer. Since they first started making Harry Potter toy sets in 2001, LEGO has put out four different Hogwarts sets, but the newest one puts all the others to shame. It includes a wide variety of rooms including the Great Hall, the Gryffindor common room, and the Room of Requirement. It also comes with twenty-seven microfigures to populate it! A few weeks ago, it was widely reported that HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel set in the legendary Age of Heroes and the Long Night could start filming as early as November. In a recent press conference at the Television Critics Association press tour, programming president Casey Bloys dispelled that rumor: “I don’t know where that report came from, we’re hoping to go into production in early ’19.” Image Via Houston Press Bloys also confirmed that Game of Thrones‘ eighth and final season will air in the first half of 2019.
